Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of information traceability combined with Joint Commission International (JCI) concept framework management in quality control of Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD). Methods Using the convenient sampling method, with the implementation of information-based traceability in the CSSD of Zhengzhou Central Hospital in February 2025 and the application of the JCI theoretical framework management as the intervention node, 171 pieces of medical devices were selected for each of the two periods: before the implementation (from February 2024 to January 2025) and after the implementation (from February 2025 to January 2026) for comparative analysis. The qualified rate of disinfection and sterilization quality of instruments, the efficiency of instrument management, the incidence of adverse events related to instruments and the satisfaction of medical staff were compared before and after implementation. Results After implementation, the qualified rates of sterilization, cleaning, packaging, distribution and recycling were all significantly higher than before implementation (all P<0.05), and the time of recycling classification, instrument information registration, distribution inspection and manual operation were all significantly lower than before implementation (all P<0.05). After implementation, the incidence of wet package, equipment damage rate, identification error rate, equipment loss rate and infection rate were all significantly lower than before implementation (all P<0.05), and the satisfaction of medical staff was higher than before implementation (P<0.05). Conclusion Information traceability combined with JCI concept framework management can effectively improve the quality and management efficiency of equipment treatment in CSSD, reduce the incidence of adverse events, and improve the satisfaction of clinical medical staff.
